01Who we are and what this covers

Ability Alliance of Canada (“we”, “us”) provides engineering consulting, Bentley software licensing, training and digital solutions. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website, our forms, our AI assistant and our client portal.

We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.

02Information we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and run our services:

  • Contact details you give us — name, email, phone, company and role — when you request a quote, demo, training or a call back.
  • The content of messages you send through forms, the live-agent request or the AI assistant.
  • Training records, such as course registrations and completion, when you enrol.
  • Technical data such as browser type, pages visited and approximate location, collected through cookies and analytics.

03How we use it

We use personal information to:

  • Answer enquiries and prepare quotes, proposals and licence orders.
  • Deliver and administer training, consulting and support.
  • Improve the website and understand which content is useful.
  • Send updates you have asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Meet legal, tax and contractual obligations, including obligations to software vendors for licence fulfilment.

04AI assistant

Our on-site assistant sends the conversation you type to an AI model provider to generate answers. Please do not share confidential project data or sensitive personal information in the chat.

If you ask for a live agent, the details you enter are passed to our team so a person can contact you. Conversations are not used to make automated decisions about you.

05When we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate (hosting, email, analytics, AI and CRM tools), with software vendors where needed to fulfil a licence you order, or where the law requires it. Providers may process data outside Canada, under contracts that require appropriate protection.

06Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to make the site work and, where enabled, analytics cookies to measure traffic and usability. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the site will still work, though some preferences (such as language) will not be remembered.

07Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected or as required by law, then delete or anonymise it. We protect it with administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity.

08Your choices and rights

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent to its use, subject to legal and contractual limits. Contact us and we will respond within the time the law allows. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

09Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.

Questions about this policy? Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
