01Using this website

These terms govern your use of abilityalliance.ca. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Engagements for consulting, training or software are governed by the separate proposal, order or agreement you sign with us; those documents take precedence over these terms.

02Information on this site

Content on this site — including articles, blog posts, calculators and AI assistant answers — is general information, not engineering advice. It does not replace a professional engineer's review of your specific situation, and you should not rely on it to make design, safety or compliance decisions.

Product descriptions, editions and pricing guidance are indicative. Vendor terms, availability and pricing can change; confirm details in a written quote.

03AI assistant

The assistant generates answers automatically and can be wrong or incomplete. Check anything important with our team, who can be reached through the live-agent option or by phone.

04Third-party content and links

The news page shows headlines and summaries published by third-party sources, with links to the original articles. Those articles belong to their publishers. We are not responsible for third-party websites or their content.

05Intellectual property and trademarks

Site content, design and code belong to Ability Alliance of Canada or its licensors. You may view and share pages for personal or internal business use, but may not copy or republish them commercially without permission.

Bentley, MicroStation, STAAD and other product names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used to identify those products.

06Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, the client portal or our systems.
  • Interfere with the site's operation, including by automated scraping at a volume that degrades service.
  • Submit false information or content that is unlawful or infringes others' rights.

07Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The site is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site or reliance on its content.

08Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes will be heard by the courts of Ontario.

09Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
