STAAD Fundamentals

A practical introduction to structural modelling, analysis and code-based design in STAAD. Participants build and analyze real structure types — frames, trusses and industrial support structures — rather than working through abstract examples.

Audience: Structural and civil engineers new to STAAD, or moving from other analysis tools.

Learning objectives

  • Build accurate structural models with correct geometry, properties and supports
  • Apply loads and load combinations aligned with design codes
  • Run analysis and interpret displacements, forces and reactions
  • Perform member design checks and review results critically

Prerequisites

Working knowledge of structural analysis fundamentals. No prior STAAD experience required.
